Back Story Tours is a new custom tour company featuring active, small group ( 6 to 12 guests) adventures that take guests to our country’s most dramatic and breathtaking destinations in the American West. The small, private tours focus on hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting and local food and wine throughout the Red Canyon Country of the Four Corners, in New Mexico, California, Texas and Colorado. Because the groups are small, we tread softly in the areas we travel.

Back Story Tours focuses on fresh, local food and wines. Our restaurants and lodging are characterized by more flavorful and distinctive locavore cuisines. From field to fork Back Story Tours takes travelers to vineyards, wine tastings and farmers markets on all of our itineraries. Guests relax at the end of the road in local inns and B & B’s that are known for their colorful personality.

And our fun-filled, attentive professional guides have Certified International Guide certification, Certified Interpretive Guide Certification and Rocky Mountain Guide Certification. Our passion is exploring the American West and helping guests have a memorable experience on all our adventures.
